The structure of a musical composition. In a 12 bar blues this structure is simply the same 12 measures repeated. In standard 32 measure song form it is A8, A8, B8 and A8 again, or AABA. In Binary form it is AB repeated. In many pop song forms there is a chorus, if we call chorus C a typical arrangement could be: A A B A B C B, verse, chorus, bridge for example. Learning to recognize form assists in quick memorization.
